MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A dump truck driver lost control around 8 p.m. on Thursday evening and crashed the truck over the side of bridge, landing in a small creek.
According to Milwaukee Police, it happened near 24th and Villard. Authorities say the dump truck jumped the curb, crashed into the steel barriers and careened over the side of the bridge. The truck fell around 30 feet and landed in a shallow creek.
The driver, a 51-year-old man, and a 36-year-old passenger, were both hurt. They were taken to the hospital but are expected to be okay. The bed of the truck was empty.
The crash remains under investigation.
