Drunk driver run over by own truck during road rage incident

FLORIDA -- A Florida man who had been drinking and driving was run over by his own pickup truck following a road rage incident.

The Gainsville Sun reports 48-year-old Joseph Carl rear-ended a car stopped at a red light. Carl got out of his vehicle and began attacking the stopped car. The driver of that car sped off.

Carl forgot to put his truck in park before leaving his vehicle. When the car he hit sped off, his truck started rolling forward. Carl was run over by his own pickup truck.

The police report cited by the Gainsville Sun says Carl refused paramedic help when they arrived. Police  found an open Miller Lite beer can in his truck along with other empty beer cans.
