Driving dangers persist

MILWAUKEE-Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office reports 21 crashes Tuesday and 80 disabled vehicles between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m.


Those numbers are down a little from Monday.


Black ice is suspected as a contributing factor in many of the mishaps.


Overpasses and ramps are especially susceptible to the formation of black ice.


According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, salt is less effective when temperatures are below zero.
