Driver survives serious car accident in Mequon due to 'quick' first responders

MEQUON, Wis. (CBS 58) --- The Mequon Fire Department and Mequon Police Department saved the life of an individual involved in a significant car accident around noon Monday, Oct. 19.
According to a Facebook post by the Mequon Fire Department, the driver of the vehicle will recover from the accident, which the department said is due to the "quick actions" of the volunteer first responders.
"We were lucky today to have the MFD Medical Director, Dr. Staszko on an ambulance today to assist with the management of the patients medical care," the post reads.
