Driver killed after piece of broken semi brake hits windshield of SUV

JOHNSON CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Wisconsin DOT posted on Facebook that police are looking for information about a semi that may have been involved in a fatal crash on I-94 east near Johnson Creek on May 22 around 5:21 PM.

The semi is described as a black Freightliner Coronado Glider with a sleeper birth pulling a white, possibly Great Dane, trailer with no visible markings.

A crash investigation indicates that the semi ruptured a brake drum on the passenger side of the trailer. A piece of the ruptured brake drum hit the windshield of an Honda CR-V killing the driver.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Wisconsin State Patrol Deforest Post or the DOT.
