MUSKEGO, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police say a woman is dead and a man is in custody following a crash in Muskego Sunday, Nov. 2. 

Officers responded to the single-vehicle crash on Hillendale Drive around 7:14 p.m. 

Muskego police say the sole passenger, a 77-year-old woman, was taken to an area hospital where she died of her injuries. The driver, a 47-year-old man, fled the scene before law enforcement arrived. He was later located at a residence in the area and taken into custody. 

The police department says charges are being referred to the Waukesha County District Attorney's Office, including homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, operating while intoxicating -- third offense, hit-and-run causing death, and resisting an officer. 

An investigation is ongoing.
