A 62-year-old woman from Madison was killed Friday morning, when she was struck by a pick-up truck while riding her bicycle on Highway 14 in the town of Cross Plains, according to the Dane County Sheriff.

Dane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the call at 9:07 AM, about a mile west of Stage Coach Road. The victim was riding west on Highway 14 on the shoulder of the road, when a pick-up truck operated by Rollen J. Fries, 69-years-old of Mazomanie, veered off the road and struck her.
