MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Four years ago, 24-year-old Diamond Arberry was killed outside of a nightclub in a case that remains unsolved.
July 17 is now declared "Diamond Day," paying tribute to the young woman whose life was taken too soon.
Family and friends marched from Belmont Avenue, where the murder took place, and continued to City Hall.
Diamond's mother, Lakia Thomas, reflected on the type of person her daughter was.
"She had a good heart. She was loved by a lot of people, and she loved a lot of people, and the support...I know she is going to get justice as well," Thomas said.
The march comes just days after more gun violence occurred on Water Street over the weekend.
