Demand high for Packers gear and tickets

GREEN BAY -- Green Bay Packers fans will have a chance to score playoff tickets for the January 5 game against the San Francisco 49ers as 40,000 tickets go on sale Monday.

Packers Green and Gold package season-ticket holders will have first grabs at the tickets, only available online to be printed at home, as long as they had an e-mail address on file with the ticket office by December 17. Those ticket holders will receive an e-mail with details on how to buy tickets through Ticketmaster between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday.  Prices range from $102 to $125.

Remaining tickets will be available to the general public starting at 3 p.m. online or in-person through Ticketmaster.

The Packers will host the 49ers at home at 3:40 p.m.

Sunday's win delivered retailers that sell Packers gear with an after-Christmas gift.  Business was brisk Monday at the Green & Gold Zone in West Allis.  While Packers players are taking the post-season one game at a time, Green & Gold Zone owner Gary Anders believes this is the start of something special.  \"As they continue deeper in the playoffs the fever builds.  You get around that NFC conference game and it makes Christmas look slow.\"

Anders says the NFC North Division champs caps should be available for sale on Thursday or Friday.
