MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Day two of the mostly virtual 2020 Democratic National Convention will feature more speeches from local leaders in Wisconsin and across the country.
The headline speeches for Tuesday, August 18 include Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, former Secretary of State John Kerry, former President Bill Clinton and former Second Lady Jill Biden.
Convention Co-Chair and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett will call the convention to order. Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes will lead the Wisconsin delegation in offering the state votes to nominate former Vice President Joe Biden.
The theme for Tuesday is 'Leadership Matters'.
Chair of the DNC, Ben Wilker, said he thought day 1 of the convention went off without a hitch considering they hag 600 satellite uplinks. At a typical convention there are only about 20.
