Davis blasts pair of three-run homers in Brewers blowout win
The Brewers are helping make a time of transition a little easier by putting together a winning streak.
Khris Davis hit two home runs and drove in six runs, and Matt Garza and Michael Blazek combined to allow just two hits as the Brewers blasted the San Diego Padres 10-1 Thursday at Miller Park.
Garza cruised through seven strong innings and Blazek finished up the blowout victory, but Davis gave the much needed offensive boost, raising his season slugging percentage 33 points in the process. Davis now sits at nine home runs on the season.
With the win, the Brewers take three of four in the series with the Padres, including three straight victories. The momentum will be tested this weekend as the St. Louis Cardinals come to Milwaukee for three games.
