West Bend, WIS. (CBS) -- Police have now released video of a police pursuit in West Bend over the weekend.
Authorities say a mother fled from officers with her 6-year-old son in the car.
The pursuit started at the Walmart on West Paradise Drive. An employee told police 37-year-old Ronda Rockett shoplifted from the store, stealing roughly $90 worth of clothes.
Police say an officer tried to pull Rockett over in the parking lot but she drove off. Video shows Rockett finally surrendering about 2 miles later on Highway 45 in the Town of Polk.
Police say her young son was very upset.
He told police his mom was sorry for stealing and she had to steal clothes for him because they didn't have any money.
Rockett is facing several charges including theft. Her son was released to a relative.
