Dane County Sheriff's Office Looking for Suspect who hit and Killed Pedestrian Saturday Night

A fatal hit-and-run accident occurred late Saturday night just outside of Madison and now authorities are looking for help in locating the suspect.

According to the Dane County Sheriff's Office, a fatal hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian occurred at around 11:53 p.m. on Hwy 113 in the Town of Westport. The vehicle left the scene after striking the pedestrian.

The investigation has revealed that the striking vehicle was traveling south on HWY 113 from County Highway M when the victim was struck. The vehicle then continued southbound onto Northpoint Drive in the City of Madison.

The suspect vehicle possibly suffered damage to its driver's side headlight and may be gray, silver or tan in color.
