Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day happening Thursday
To help Wisconsin kids receive the care and treatments they need, participating Dairy Queen and DQ Grill & Chill restaurants in Milwaukee, Madison, Appleton and Green Bay will celebrate Miracle Treat Day on Thursday, July 27.
For every Blizzard treat sold at participating locations, $1 or more will be donated to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Known as Miracle Treat Day, Dairy Queen raised more than $110,000 for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin last year. Miracle Treat Day is a national Children’s Miracle Network Hospital fundraiser, and all donations raised stay in the community to help local kids. More than 70 Dairy Queen restaurants in Wisconsin are participating this year.
Now in its 13th year, the annual DQ Miracle Treat Day raises not just funds, but also awareness for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
“We are so thankful for the support of Dairy Queen in helping raise money and awareness of Children’s,” said Meg Brzyski Nelson, president of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Foundation. “Children’s relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations and corporate partners to make Wisconsin kids the healthiest in the nation.”
Since 1984, the Dairy Queen system has raised more than $125 million for children’s hospitals through fundraising efforts such as Miracle Treat Day, Miracle Balloon icon sales and other local initiatives.
