Crews spruce up downtown Milwaukee before NCAA Tournament

MILWAUKEE -- Crews are working hard to get the streets of Milwaukee cleaned up for thousands of visitors.

With the NCAA tournament in town, Milwaukee Downtown is trying to make sure the city is cleaned up for everyone.

The group has about a dozen workers out and about cleaning the streets near the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

They do this all year, but it's more important when there are visitors coming to see the city.

With the recent snowmelt trash is piled up in certain areas near the Bradley Center.

Anytime thousands of people from across the state and the region come to town it's an opportunity to show the best side of Milwaukee.

\"It's really important for us when people come into our city and particularly downtown Milwaukee that they see how clean it is,\" Milwaukee Downtown CEO Beth Weirick said.  \"It really creates a quality environment and it adds to that experience people have when they are visiting.\"

Just a quick glance shows the crews have done a pretty good job. They'll keep working through the day to make sure the downtown area is clean.
