Crews battle early morning garage fire in South Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The South Milwaukee Fire Department responded to a garage fire on Carroll Avenue early Friday morning, April 7.
Officials say it happened around 1:19 a.m. in a detached garage next to a duplex.
Two families -- six adults and four children -- evacuated the duplex, which lost power due to the fire.
Authorities say it took crews about 30 minutes to put out the blaze.
The fire is under investigation by South Milwaukee Fire Department and police.
