Crew earns fifth straight win with victory over Phillies

The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Philadelphia Phillies 9-4 Wednesday night in Philadelphia, giving the team five wins in a row..


After a 4-4 tie, the Brewers scored three runs in the eighth inning, capped with a Ryan Braun two-RBI triple. Carlos Gomez hit his third home run of the season in the fourth inning.


Tyler Thornberg earned the win with two scoreless innings in the seventh and eighth inning. Jim Henderson earned the save. Starter Matt Garza earned a no-decision.
