Crash Damages Bridge in Sheboygan Preventing Vessels from Crossing

On Saturday at 8:03 PM, the Sheboygan Police Department responded to the 8th Street bridge for a motor vehicle crash. A passenger vehicle left the roadway and damaged one of the barricade arms that blocks vehicular traffic from crossing the bridge while it opens. 

The damage has prevented the bridge from opening to allow large vessels to navigate the Sheboygan River. It is unknown how long the bridge will remain inoperable. The bridge remains open to vehicular traffic.
