Corporation found guilty in 2016 dehydration death of Milwaukee County inmate
MILWAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A corporation has been found guilty in the death of a Milwaukee County inmate.
Terrill Thomas died of dehydration back in 2016. Jail workers had shut the water off to his cell.
On Tuesday, a jury found Armor Correctional Health Services guilty in connection to his death.
The company was contracted to provide medical care for inmates in the Milwaukee County Jail.
Charges included abuse and falsifying medical records.
Three former jail workers were also convicted.
The investigation into Thomas' death also revealed that no less than three other prisoners' medical records were falsified by Armor, according to the district attorney's office.
A few years ago, Thomas' family received more than $6,000,000 in a settlement.
