Corned Beef Eating Contest Winner Ate 11 Sandwiches

Now many Irish abstain from meat during lent, but not everyone.

So why not dig in with some corned beef.

Jake's Deli has had great success hosting this relatively new event the Friday before the parade.

Today's winner ate 11 corned beef sandwiches weighing about a half pound each.

Contestants had 7 minutes to finish. The winner got a trophy a prize package and bragging rights.
