Condo Shopping in Downtown Milwaukee? Great Weekend Event for You

Just like houses, the demand is high and the supply is low for condominiums. So if you're in the market for condos, especially in downtown Milwaukee, you should check out "Downtown Diggs Open House" happening on Saturday.

Twenty different locations, mainly one, two, and four bedroom units, will be featured.  They are spread throughout the area, including the Historic Third Ward, along the Milwaukee River, and on the East Side.  A number of the condos are in historic buildings as well.

I toured a few of them during Friday morning's newscast, including at The Point and Water Street Lofts.  I also spoke with Mike Ruzicka, the president of the Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors.  He says there will soon be an over saturation of apartments in the downtown area.  But he believes, this will eventually lead to more condo development in the long run as the demand stays high.  He also wants potential buyers to do their "due diligence" when doing their homework.  Ask questions like how long has the place been on the market, and what kind of reserves does the condo board have?

"Downtown Diggs" runs from 10am until 3pm.  Click on the attached link for more information on the event.
