MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee library invited neighbors to come in and spend time together Monday, Dec. 29. They called it a "community gathering" at the Atkinson branch of the Milwaukee Public Library.
There were "engagement stations" where people could find a good book, talk about neighbors or businesses doing positive things, work on an art project, and more.
"We wanted to really engage people on that next level and include some food and some fun games, but really have that engagement and fun times," said Joy Zanders, library branch manager.
There was no charge for the two-hour gathering, described by organizers as a celebration of community.
