Community Birthday Party for Les Paul June 9th at the Waukesha County Museum

The Waukesha County Museum is planning a community birthday for native son Les Paul.

The event June 9th will also help celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Museum.

Tom Constable was a special live guest on the CBS 58 News 4:30 p.m. Monday.

Constable says the ticket price for the party includes light hors d'oeuvres, entry into the museum, including the Les Paul Exhibit, and entertainment from Kellie and the Soul Mates.

A cash bar will be open during the event. Silent auction with Les Paul autographed items, Owen Gromme signed and numbered prints, Fireside Theater package, handcrafted rocking horse, artist designed glass bowl, and more.

The event comes after  the museum temporarily suspended its normal business operations

The museum is using the hiatus to evaluate itself and plan for a new museum that will be better equipped to both preserve and share the rich history of Waukesha County.

Staff is working diligently in the building planning for the proposed construction, assuring the vast collection of artifacts is preserved and developing new and improved exhibits that tell the story of Waukesha County in a new and interesting way.
