Co-sleeping may be involved in the death of a five-month-old girl

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police say stories from the mother and father of a five-month-old infant found dead on February 21st don't match. The discrepancies in their stories have not been made public due to parts of the medical examiner's report being redacted.


The cause of death for five-month-old Mikayla Rose Rainwater remains officially undetermined. The medical examiner's office says there are concerns that co-sleeping may have been involved.


The mother has been taken into custody, but no charges has been filed.
