City of Milwaukee, police union reach tentative agreement
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The city of Milwaukee lit up for the holidays on Thursday, Dec 5.
The annual Christmas Tree Lighting took place this afternoon at the Fiserv Forum, transforming the Deer District into "Cheer District."
This year, the 64-foot Colorado Blue Spruce was donated by the Yeager family and comes from Alderwoman Sharlen Moore's 10th District.
It also marks the 111th year of the tradition.
"I was just shocked," said 8-year-old McKenzie Cohen. "I couldn't believe that I was literally seeing a big Christmas tree being lit up."
The tree has 5,000 lights and over 900 holiday ornaments.
