City of Milwaukee declares snow emergency, alternate side parking required

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The city of Milwaukee has declared a snow emergency Feb. 17-19 following Thursday's winter storm.

No parking will be allowed on main streets from 10 p.m.-6 a.m. and alternate side parking will be enforced on side streets overnight.

This means all residents who park overnight on Milwaukee's side streets must move their vehicles to the odd numbered side of the street by 10 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Saturday morning.

DPW says posted street signs take precedence.

Designated Milwaukee Public Schools lots will be available for off-street parking beginning at 7 p.m. Friday evening. All vehicles parked in these lots must be moved by 7 a.m. Saturday morning.
