City of Milwaukee accepting applications for Summer Youth Internship Program

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The City of Milwaukee’s Summer Youth Internship Program is now accepting applications. Anyone between the age of 16 (as of June 1, 2018) and 19 can apply.

Interns are placed in a city department such as Fire, Library, Neighborhood Services, Office of the Mayor, Administration, Common Council – City Clerk, Public Works, Assessor, Health, Port, or City Development for eight weeks. While working they receive mentoring and excellent experience in various tasks and assignments.

The interns earn $8.75 per hour and work 20 hours a week from Monday through Friday. The program starts June 7 and ends August 3.

The application deadline is Friday, March 23.
