City Leaders discussed School Bus Safety

Some city leaders at odds about school bus safety policies here in Milwaukee. CBS 58's Matt Doyle was at the vote today at City Hall.

Both sides took up the bus stop issue at Tuesday's meeting.  The committee decided to table it for further discussion.  Some argued the new plan would make the city safer but MPS, MPD, and the bus companies disagree.  They say it'll cause more congestion and more potential problems for drivers.

"I'd rather see a safety precaution in place versus the school bus driver leaves and then that child is left to fend for themselves," said Ald. Davis.

The issue was held for further discussion.
