MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Kon Knueppel is growing up fast! He graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran High School in Milwaukee in 2024.  In the 2024-25 season, he played for Duke.

And now in 2026 to begin the year, his Blue Devils jersey will now hang in the hallowed halls of the high school.

In front of family and friends at a special ceremony the jersey was unveiled.

"Very near and dear to my heart," Charlotte Hornets Small Forward Kon Knueppel says. "My Dad went here. But going here with, my brother went here when he was a freshman, and I was a senior. My cousins. Playing with them on the basketball team. Playing any level of basketball. But there's nothing like you know, suiting up with your buddies. There's nothing like that, at any level."

The jersey will be hanging in the rafters or the hallways of Wisconsin Lutheran High School for future generations to see.

"Yeah, it's pretty cool," Knueppel admits.  "You know getting to see Kevin Zeitler and Mark Wilson and those guys hanging up there was always cool as a young kid.  And as a student here so hopefully somebody will look up and think that jersey's pretty sweet."

And at the age of 20, the Charlotte Hornet converts people in this area into becoming Hornets and Duke fans and wants everyone to know his faith means something to him.
