Tricky travel for some later Saturday afternoon through the evening
CEDARBURG, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The annual Strawberry Festival in Cedarburg, a tradition that invites thousands to enjoy the summer fruit in a vibrant setting, is scheduled to take place Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25.
To discuss the festival, Patrick Curran, Executive Director, and Sarah Enwald, Festival Manager of Festivals of Cedarburg joined us live on Friday, June 16.
The 36th edition of the festival aims to deliver an art-filled weekend featuring the works of over 250 local and Midwest artists in collaboration with local organizations. In addition, the festival introduces "Taste of Strawberry Fest" boxes. These carryout boxes provide a taste of the festival's popular treats and merchandise, while Strawberry Alley on Columbia Ave. will serve as a one-stop shop for all strawberry-themed items.
The Festival Food Booth will host a variety of food vendors offering everything from classic summer favorites to strawberry themed delicacies. Highlights include the strawberry brat, strawberry shortcake, strawberry chicken salad wrap and some locally brewed strawberry beers.
For those with a sweet tooth, an all-you-can-eat strawberry pancake breakfast will be served on Sunday, 8 a.m. - 11 a.m., weather permitting.
