MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee is set to embrace the holiday spirit with a series of festive events this weekend. Joe Krauss from B93.3 previewed the festive calendar when he joined us on Friday, Nov. 17.
Kicking off the weekend, the 109th Annual City Christmas Tree Lighting will transform the Deer District into the Cheer District on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. This free event promises live entertainment, holiday activities and a special mailbox for B93.3's "Letters to Santa" program.
Also on Friday, the Season to Sparkle Celebration at The Yard at Bayshore in Glendale will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. The 4th annual holiday celebration features entertainment from Kid Boogie Down, reindeer games, live reindeer, fairytale princesses and a range of food trucks and vendors. A highlight is the 32-foot Christmas tree and new festive decor, with the event supporting Make-A-Wish Wisconsin.
The weekend continues with the opening of "A Holiday Snow Globe" at the Mitchell Park Domes starting Saturday, Nov. 18, through Jan. 7, 2024. Visitors can experience the warmth of the Domes, surrounded by poinsettias, decorated spruce trees and a polar paradise.
