CBS 58's Feel Good Fridays: Bay View Bash, Barktoberfest and bright China Lights
MILWAUKE (CBS 58) -- Joe Krauss of B93.3 FM joined us on Friday to preview a plethora of events taking place in the Milwaukee area this weekend.
The community-oriented Bay View Bash is set to take place on Kinnickinnic Ave. in Bay View on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The event features live entertainment on five stages, a pet parade at 10 a.m. and a variety of food and craft vendors.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, China Lights makes its return to Milwaukee County's Boerner Botanical Gardens, running through Oct. 29. This opening weekend spotlights the new "Nature's Glow" theme, featuring larger-than-life lanterns such as a 20-foot-high octopus and a T-rex tunnel.
Tacos and Tequila Festival is another highlight, taking place on Sept. 16 at Franklin Field. Organizers promise 100 different street tacos, margaritas and a lineup of throwback rappers.
Also on the agenda is Cedarburg's 49th annual Wine & Harvest Festival, running Saturday and Sunday. The event offers music, local vendors and activities like the Pumpkin Regatta.
Lastly, Barktoberfest in Estabrook Park on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. includes a dog talent show and costume contest. Admission for all these events, except the Tacos and Tequila Festival, is free.
