Caught on Camera: Drag race along I-43 in New Berlin

NEW BERLIN-- YouTube video from the group \"Midwest Street Drags\" shows two cars racing near what appears to be I-43 at the Moorland exit in New Berlin.  The video has many people talking and wondering if racers shut down part of the busy highway.

\"It's the most amazing thing that someone can shut down the interstate and do that and get away with it, without anybody calling the police or turning them in,\" said Erwin Benson, an I-43 commuter.

While some I-43 commuters are intrigued by the video, others say this is no laughing matter.

\"I certainly wouldn't want my daughter out there and having that happen,\" said Don Vaclav, another commuter.

Most people CBS-58 spoke with say they can't think of a time when I-43 isn't busy.

\"There's always traffic on 43, it's always crowded,\" said Benson.

Some commuters want more patrols to keep illegal racing activity out of the area.

\"You're eventually going to get caught, and it's someone else's life that's out there, it should not be happening,\" said Vaclav.

Waukesha County Sheriff's Office says the agency is investigating illegal racing in that area.
