MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Cars lined up at Hunger Task Force headquarters just off of I-94 at Hawley Road Friday morning to pick up donations to deliver to local shelters and charitable organizations.
The Hunger Task Force has been working for weeks ahead of Thanksgiving but now efforts are going into overdrive, "Because all kinds of volunteers came together and contributed really healthy, wonderful and wholesome foods, families are going to sit down on Thanksgiving Day and have a turkey with all the trimmings and build some wonderful memories,” said Sherrie Tussler.
Coming up next week help CBS 58 help the community. On November 22, the CBS 58 News Team will be at Miller Park for the annual Drive Thru Food Drive. From 5 a.m. until 6 p.m. you can drop off your healthy donations, turkeys or cash at Hellfaer Field.
The Brewers Community Foundation will have special thank you gifts in store for those that donate.
