Carroll University holding sexual violence awareness event

Carroll University will hold a "Take Back the Night" event Thursday on campus.  The theme is "Shine your light".  It starts at 7:00 p.m. on the main lawn.  There a survivor speak out, candlelight vigil, and a march for change.

There's also a discussion Friday at noon at the Shattuck Auditorium called "Facilitating Healing: A community response to sexual assault."  It will feature a Waukesha County Sheriff Sensitive Crimes detective, a family advocate, women's center counselor, and a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner.
