WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- West Allis Police are looking for the suspect who fled from police, crashed into a house, and then ran away.

The incident happened around 12:30 Tuesday morning near 72nd and Cleveland.

A neighbor’s surveillance camera shows the car race straight towards the house and then police cars follow shortly after.

Police confirm they were chasing the car before it hit the house.

No one inside the home was hurt, but the car broke through the bricks, a glass window, and left a gaping hole into the living room.

Jane Kieliszewski was woken up by the commotion and said she is good friends with the woman who lives in the home.

“She rang my doorbell and told me what happened and I couldn’t believe it,” Kieliszewski said. “It was just something terrible. I mean she just moved in in May and she fixed up that whole front. it was beautiful and it’s all wrecked. Her living room is all a mess.”

Police say the driver of the vehicle is still on the run, but they know who they are looking for.

They say through investigation he was identified as the vehicle's registered owner. He was booked out-of-custody, and the incident will be presented to the DA's office at a future date.
