UPDATE: Bluemound reopens after fatal car crash in Pewaukee

PEWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Bluemound Road has now reopened.

PEWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Waukesha County dispatch center tells CBS 58 there was a two car crash near the intersection of Bluemound and Takoma Drive in Pewaukee around 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

A red Ford pick-up driven by a 33-year-old Menomonee Falls man was going east on Bluemound when it hit a blue Subaru Outback coming from Takoma Drive driven by a 72-year-old woman from Waukesha.

One man suffered minor injuries and was taken to Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

The woman suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The County tweeted that Bluemound Road is shut down going west at Springdale and east at Eastmound. They ask that the public avoids the area.
