MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Summer break is in full swing for kids in Milwaukee, and now, a youth employment program is kicking off its second year of work.
Employ Milwaukee's Camp Rise offers kids ages 10-13 paid work experience.
This, all while spending time doing activities like exploring future career interests, learning hands-on skills, leadership development and even city beautification.
City officials say they hope this will make a big difference in young people's futures.
"I truly believe the younger we can begin to introduce young people to career opportunities, we can change the narrative of what continues to young people," said Chytania Brown, president and CEO of Employ Milwaukee.
Employ Milwaukee isn't just focused on youth programs this summer.
On Tuesday, they also kicked off this season's Earn and Learn employment efforts meant for 14-24-year-olds.
