Burlington police ID victim of fatal Menards parking lot crash

CITY OF BURLINGTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Burlington police identified the 21-year-old man killed in a parking lot crash at Menards.
Family identified the victim as Cody A. Dorn.
On behalf of Burlington police, Dorn's family would like everyone to know:
“Cody was a hardworking, give you the shirt off his back kind of kid. He graduated from Burlington High School in 2022. While working at Menards, he attended WCTC, where he maintained a 4.0 grade point average. He recently graduated with his associate’s degree in accounting. In his free time, he loved playing video games and spending time with his girlfriend. He is loved and will be missed by so many."
Dorn was killed after being pinned between two cars in the parking lot while officials say employees were leaving a work meeting.
An investigation is ongoing.

CITY OF BURLINGTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 21-year-old man of the City of Burlington was killed in a parking lot crash at Menards in Burlington, according to police. Both the victim and the driver were reportedly employees at the store.
Officers responded Sunday, Feb. 2 after the Racine County Communications Center received a report of a person pinned between two cars at around 9:09 p.m.
Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the incident occurred as employees were leaving a work meeting, and the victim was struck while retrieving items from his trunk.
The driver, a 20-year-old Town of Burlington resident, was not injured and is cooperating with the investigation. No criminal charges are yet being pursued, according to City of Burlington police.
