Report: Bucks star Khris Middleton declines $40M player option, becomes free agent
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Free agency season has begun for the Milwaukee Bucks, in a major way, according to reports.
ESPN's NBA insider reports that Khris Middleton is declining his $40 player option for the 2023-24 season to become an unrestricted free agent.
This decision means that Middleton is free to pursue a contract with any team, including the possibility structuring a new deal to remain in Milwaukee.
The three-time All-Star is coming off of injury issues, having undergone surgery on his right knee after the Bucks were eliminated from the NBA Playoffs. He turns 32 before the start of the upcoming season.
