MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -  The Deer District will be packed with fans wearing forest green Sunday, as the Milwaukee Bucks take on the Chicago Bulls in round one of the NBA Playoffs.

From playoff merchandise to a tiki hut, there are some new additions near the stadium this year.

Bucks fans made their way to the Pro Shop Thursday morning with wallets in hand for the unveiling of new playoff merchandise.

"We're thrilled to be able to show it off and get everyone to celebrate playoff season again here in the Deer District," said Michael Belot, the Senior VP of Bucks Ventures and Development.

There are five new shirt and hat designs, plus special collectible items celebrating last year's championship. Some are even made with pieces of the court where the Bucks took home the trophy.

Those who visited the stadium for last year's playoffs will see a very similar atmosphere, with minor changes to make it easier to navigate..

Belot says there will be ticket scanning on both the north and south side of the stadium.

Outside Fiserv Forum, you can eat, drink and bowl at the new-this-year Punch Bowl Social restaurant, or grab a beverage at the Tanduay Tiki Hut at the Beer Garden.

These changes are all meant to enhance the experience and excitement of another (hopefully successful) NBA playoff run for Milwaukee.

One fan who took a solo trip from Two Rivers to buy playoff merchandise echoes that electricity.

"It's great what it does for the energy of the state, and also the city of Milwaukee," said fan, Kathy Lemberger. "It's exciting."

The Bucks' first NBA playoff game of 2022 is Sunday, April 17 at 5:30 p.m.
