Bucks assign rookies to G League

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Bucks are assigning both of their 2020 draft picks to the G League. Because the Wisconsin Herd are not playing this season, the Bucks sent forward Jordan Nwora to the Salt Lake City Stars and guard Sam Merrill to the Memphis Hustle.

Milwaukee still maintains the rights to both players. Two-Way forward Mamadi Diakite has been assigned to the Magic affiliate on a similar deal.

Both Nwora and Merrill have played in a handful of games for the Bucks this season, while Diakite has yet to see the court.
