Bruton Joins Milwaukee Braves Honor Roll

The Brewers have a day off, and it's a perfect day to reflect back on a figure from the city's rich baseball history.

Bill Bruton joined the Milwaukee Braves Honor Roll alongside Aaron, Mathews, Spahn and the greats from Milwaukee's former team.

Bruton spent eight years with the Milwaukee braves, and he was a man of firsts in town including the game winning hit in the Braves first ever home game in 1953.

“He loved the game. He loved the people. To be able to step in for him is a true honor,” said Bruton’s daughter said.
