MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Although it may not feel like it outside, summer is right around the corner, and preparations for Milwaukee's biggest music festival are underway. 

Volunteers from Briggs & Stratton put on their gardening gloves and made their way to Henry Maier Festival Park for Summerfest Planting Day.

We spoke with one volunteer who described how the annual planting process works. 

"All of these flowers are planted by our volunteers as a way to give back to the community and say, you know, we love being a sponsor here and we really value beautiful green spaces," said Annie Raab, Briggs & Stratton communications and events specialist. 

The partnership between Briggs & Stratton and Summerfest has lasted nearly 30 years.
