Bridesmaid, Groom's Father Punched at Wedding in Wisconsin

A Wisconsin man punched a bridesmaid and the groom’s father during a wedding reception over the weekend.

According to Madison Police, a bridesmaid and the groom's father were among those punched, and it was wedding reception attendees who chased and held down a suspect as police were called Saturday night.

The man had just been kicked out of a postnuptial celebration at Madison Turners following a disagreement with the groom.

According to police, there were reportedly several flare ups during his departure, which resulted in punches being thrown.

 A bridesmaid was struck in the face, as was the father of the groom.

 Another man also reported being battered, and the bride's stepmother said the suspect took a swing at her, but she was able to step back, and received only a glancing blow to the arm.

Officers arrived to a chaotic scene, and took the suspect into custody. There were no serious injuries.
