Brewers' Sogard comes back from disabled list, Broxton sent down to AAA
Eric Sogard is back on the Milwaukee Brewers active roster after landing on the 10-day disabled list due to ankle issues. To make room for Sogard, the Brewers sent outfielder Keon Broxton to Triple-A Colorado Springs.
Prior to his injury, Sogard was batting .331 with three home runs and 14 RBIs.
Broxton has been struggling as of late. He is 0 for his last 12 at-bats and his average has dipped to .218. Broxton has 14 home runs on the season and 36 RBIs.
Next up for the Brewers is game two of a three game series against the Philadelphia Phillies. The Brewers are on a six-game losing streak since leaving Miller Park for this road trip. After one more away series against the Washington Nationals, the Brewers finally return home to take on the Chicago Cubs on July 28-30.
