Brewers shut out Red Sox to complete sweep
MILWAUKEE - Before Sunday, the last time the Brewers swept a series from the Red Sox at Fenway Park, they were still an American League team.
Sunday's 4-0 shutout of the Red Sox completed a three-game sweep. Yovani Gallardo pitched 6 2/3 scoreless innings, and Tyler Thornburg finished the game with two shutout innings.
Mark Reynolds brought in the game's first two runs with a second inning play ruled a single and an error on Red Sox right fielder Daniel Nava.
Jeff Bianchi and Aramis Ramirez added RBI hits in the later innings for the Brewers (4-2).
The Brewers next game, Monday in Philadelphia, has already been postponed because of anticipated bad weather. The Phillies rescheduled the game, their home opener, for Tuesday.
