MILWAUKEE - After two straight losses to the Cardinals, the Brewers found their winning ways again Wednesday afternoon at Miller Park.
Wily Peralta struck out three and gave up one run over 6 1/3 innings, and three relievers combined to shut down the Cardinals bats late in a 5-1 win to salvage a victory in the three-game series.
Will Smith, Tyler Thornburg and Francisco Rodriguez continued the bullpen's stellar run to start 2014, pitching a combined 2 2/3 scoreless innings and striking out two.
The Brewers start a four-game series in Pittsburgh Thursday.
