MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- An annual tradition from one of our hometown teams shows how being kind can change people's lives.
The 'Brewers Kindness in MKE' initiative is a week that shows the good deeds done by the organization.
At Lincoln Avenue School, pitcher Abner Uribe stopped by for an end-of-year surprise.
"As a principal we try to maintain respect, responsible and safe, so as soon as we saw them come out okay here, we go how are we going to make sure that they're doing that for our amazing mascots and they did, they did a really good job, I'm very proud of them," said Principal Damaris Ayala.
Through the effort the Brewers and the Brewers Community Foundation will donate over $50,000 to local non-profits and community members.
