Brewers' history comes alive at 4th Base and Cesar's Inn in West Milwaukee

WEST MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- In the movie "Major League," scenes showing fans celebrating were shot at hometown bars.

At Fourth Base, near 52nd and National, all kinds of baseball memorabilia covers every square inch of the walls. Hanging from the ceiling is the prosthetic leg of the team's 1982 manager, Harvey Kuenn.

Kuenn and his wife, Audrey, ran a bar not far from Fourth Base -- Cesar's Inn -- while also living in an attached apartment.

The current owner of Cesar's Inn, Gary Janocik, says fans constantly stop in because of the connection to "Harvey's Wallbangers."

"We just had a few fellows from Grand Rapids, Michigan, that were from Wisconsin and had moved there years ago, but they were here during '82, and they brought us a bunch of memorability from that time," said Janocik.

Janocik says fans over the years have even dropped off some of their Harvey Kuenn and '82 Brewers' memorabilia.

One of the most prized possessions is an unopened bottle of champagne from the 1982 American League pennant celebration.

Janocik says he plans on being generous if the Brewers win it all, but he's still sorting through what that generosity will look like.
